Shipping our first commercial game taught us invaluable lessons about development, scope, production, and creating meaningful player experiences.

Releasing Mind Within marked a major milestone for Helix Interactive Studios. While completing a game is an achievement in itself, the process revealed countless lessons about planning, production, communication, and balancing ambition with reality.

What worked

A small team with clear ownership shipped a focused experience. Tight scope let us polish what mattered.

What didn''t

We underestimated production overhead — store pages, ratings, localisation, certification — and learned to budget time for everything that surrounds the actual game.

How it shaped Chikki

Every completed project teaches something new. Mind Within became the foundation upon which Helix continues to grow, directly informing how we plan, prototype, and produce Chikki: Forgotten Roots.
